The “Smart home with Shelly” widget gives guests clear information that is available whenever they need it. Guests control released Shelly devices such as lights and shutters right in the guest guide. Coming soon.
How the Smart home with Shelly widget works
As a host, you can finish the setup in just a few minutes:
Add the widget
Add the “Smart Home” widget to your property in the dashboard.
Connect Shelly
Click “Connect Shelly” and release the devices guests may control in the Shelly window.
Set up the devices
Assign the devices to your property, give them names and rooms and decide what guests may do.
Check the guest view
Open the guest view with the secure link and test whether the devices can be controlled.

For security reasons, Smart Home is never visible via the public QR code, only via the secure guest link.

The widget is built directly into the accommodation’s digital guest guide. Guests open GASTiNFO.EU via the QR code or their personal link.

All settings at a glance
You connect your Shelly account to GASTiNFO.EU and release individual devices. Guests then control them in the guest guide, for example lights and shutters. For each device you decide what guests may do.
Connection
- Connect Shelly
- Starts the connection to your Shelly account. In the Shelly window you choose the devices you want to release. The status shows “Connected”, “Not connected”, “Waiting for confirmation from Shelly…” or “Connection to Shelly lost”.
- Reopen the authorization link
- Opens Shelly's release window again if the confirmation is still pending.
- Select more devices
- Opens the release again so you can select more devices without disconnecting the existing connection.
- Disconnect
- Ends the connection. The assigned devices are also removed from the property. If you only want to release more devices, use “Select more devices” instead.
Devices
- Add device
- Assigns a released Shelly device to your property. Afterwards you set name, room and permissions.
- GASTiNFO name
- The name guests see, for example “Living room light”.
- Room
- The room the device belongs to, for example “Living room”. Guests see their devices sorted by room.
- Guest may turn on/off
- Guests may switch the device on and off.
- Guest may dim
- Guests may dim lamps.
- Guest may change temperature
- Guests may change the temperature. This is only possible for devices that support it. Minimum and maximum limit the range; values from 5 to 35 °C are allowed.
- Guest may control
- Guests may control the device, for example open, close or stop a shutter.
- Guest may change colour
- Guests may change the colour of lamps, provided the lamp can do it.
- Remove
- Removes the device from the property, after a confirmation.
Groups and order
- Groups
- Combine several devices of the same type, for example all lamps in the living room. Guests then control the group with one switch. “Dissolve group” dissolves the group; the devices are kept.
- Order in the guest area
- Drag devices and groups into the order in which guests should see them.
Visibility
- Show in Secure Link
- For security reasons, Smart home is never visible via the public QR code. There is only the option “Show in Secure Link”, meaning guests with the secure link.
